Nooksack Falls

Nooksack Falls in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in north Washington State. The Nooksack River drops 88 feet into a valley on its path to Bellingham Bay and eventually the Pacific.

A hydroelectric power plant was built in 1906 and was in use until 1997. The powerhouse is now on the National Register of Historic Places.

Detail shot of the falls taken using an ND8 filter to show the motion of the water as it cascades down the rocks.
