Coal Harbour Fog Inversion

Vancouver woke up in January to a thin (or thick, in some places) layer of mist over the water and some of the city. About an hour before sunrise, I headed up to the roof of my apartment building to capture the view.

This is taken looking east from Coal Harbour, with the streets still quiet. A thick layer of fog can be seen over the water at the left of the shot, and thin tendrils of mist were making their way between the downtown buildings, and being lit by the lights.

On the horizon, the pink glow of the pre-dawn sky can be seen between the buildings.
