The rays of the sun peek out from behind the rocks of Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver, as we were treated to another beautiful sunset on Sunday night.
I left this trip a little to the last minute, and the trails in Lighthouse Park were rather busy with families enjoying the long weekend, so I only just managed to catch this shot. I had to extend my tripod centre column all the way up (which I very rarely do) to get the last rays of the sun before the disappeared.
This is a location I’ve photographed a few times before, but it’s such a beautiful spot I find myself going again and again, despite the trip back up the hill with a bag full of camera gear always reminding me that I’m not as in shape as I should be!
A narrow aperture of f/16 provoked the rays from the sun, and I used HDR to capture the dynamic range of the scene, using seven shots with exposure times ranging from 1/1250th of a second to 0.8 seconds.
