This was taken in Gastown during a rare fall of snow in downtown Vancouver in December 2013. I photographed this at about 7:15am, capturing the intersection of Powell and Carrall Street. A black and white conversion on this shot emphasised the contrast in the scene and seemed to work well with the empty streets. Streaks of falling snow can be seen in this photo, particularly in the sky at the top right.
