Another photograph from Wreck Beach, near UBC in Vancouver. I really liked this shot taken just before the sun set behind the North Shore mountains, as it was just glancing off the tops of the wet rocks, and lighting them up very beautifully.
This also shows the amount of cloud in the sky that was lit up once the sun had set, producing the beautiful post-sunset colours that night.
This used my typical setup for beach sunsets — a 3-stop graduated ND filter to help the balance between the sky and the ground, a circular polariser to emphasise the reflections in the water and on the rocks.
